The SUP Connection
San Diego SUP Rentals with The SUP Connection in Point Loma, Liberty Station. The SUP Connection provides San Diego with a first class on the water experience by providing paddle board and kayak rentals, SUP Lessons, SUP Pups Instruction and more. We offer the best equipment along with amazing service. Our SUP’s are all Bounce Composite boards which are tough, high-performance boards.
Riders can expect superb surf performance as the board remains lightweight with excellent maneuverability. Our kayaks are Malibu Ocean Kayaks which are the most popular compact, lightweight sit-on-top kayaks in the world.

Come visit us for the ultimate on the water experience. We are open seasonally on the waterfront in front of the Courtyard Marriott Liberty Station in Point Loma.
The SUP Connection is open for walk-ups on the weekends from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and by reservation during the week (weather and unforeseen circumstances may change the hours). We are located on the water with the equipment all ready to go. No transporting of equipment necessary. We also supply the paddle, life jacket, and leash. With the beautiful Liberty Station park as our backdrop, we can help make your say on the water an easy and enjoyable experience.
Covid-19 Update
The SUP Connection will be available again for rentals beginning July 6th, 2020. However, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we will have several modifications to our rental process.
- All rentals must be pre-paid, face masks must be worn during interactions
- Electronic waivers for all participants need to be completed prior to rental on your own device
- No iPad will be available for payments or waivers. They can all be completed online prior to rental or on your own device at the location
- Social distancing must remain at all times
- No more than a group of 5 at a time
- no parking in the hotel parking lot, street parking only
In order for us to be available at all for rentals, all these guidelines and more will need to be adhered to. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we simply must follow these rules. We appreciate your support and understanding during these new times that we live in.

And now with our brand new showroom, we are proud to continue that tradition and expand our offerings as San Diego’s premier headquarters for water sports equipment, service, rentals, repairs, event space and much more. We have set aside work space for customizing paddles and deck pads and making sure all your needs can be handled in a clean and professional environment. We now have plenty of space for packing and shipping as well.

SUP Pups San Diego is hosted by The SUP Connection where you can learn how to Stand UP Paddle Board with your Dog!! Located behind the Courtyard Marriott in Liberty Station. The lesson starts at our location at Liberty Station where the dogs can meet, sniff and feel comfortable with each other. They can play around to relieve some energy. Then we will move down to the sandy beach to launch off into the water and venture out into the waterway.
Learn from the most experienced SUP Pups instructor in San Diego
Samantha will teach you the basics and safety of SUP while putting your dog on the board. The hour tour takes you under the North Harbor Bridge near the Navy Dolphin Training Facility where you can see the dolphins as well as many more amazing sites of San Diego!!
